Finished Terminator Captain
Finished Captain Invictus of the 1st Company (at the time of Battle of Macragge).
Terminator Captain, WIP
Work in progress or a photo check version of my captain. Needs a bit of tidying up, battle damage and of course finishing the base.
Ultramarines Terminator WIP
I’m quite happy how the armour looks with the chipping and the scratches.
The NMM on the Storm Bolter still needs some work, smoothing and sharpening the highlights. Same goes to the helmet.
Paints references:
Primer: black
Armour: burnt umber base coat (airbrush). Macragge Blue, Calgar blue, + add white for successive highlights (airbrush). Glazing Ultramarines blue Contrast (brush).
Chipping/scratches: VMC German Came Dark Brown. VMC Off-white. Citadel Dark Reaper when going across white decals.
Power fist hazards stripes: Start from black. S75 Nacar to build the stripes, highlight edges towards Off-white. Glaze over with Contrast Imperial Fist. Highlight transitions with off-white. Modulate with Citadel yellows.
Storm Bolter (red): Start from VMC German Came Dark Brown. Layer up with S75 Indian Shadow, S75 Deep Red. Mix in S75 Nacar for highlights.
Storm Bolter (metal): Start from S75 Rainy Grey. Highlights towards Off-white, Cold-white. Tone down with Nuln Oil glazed. Glaze Mig Sky Blue shader.
Eyes / lenses: Contrast Aethermatic blue/turquoise whatever.
Aquila & helmet: Start from Citadel Dark Reaper, highlight up to Cold white via Offwhite. Glaze Contrast Gryphcharger.
