Don't miss out on a series of Ambush Sets for some more of Mantic Games' Kings Of War armies. There are three different sets that you can scoop up via pre-orders (and released soon!) alongside a two-player set for Ambush as well.

Forces Of Nature Ambush Set - Kings Of War

Forces Of Nature Ambush Set // Kings Of War

Ambush is the quick and easy version of Kings Of War that you can dive into with just a handful of units per side. You get a good feel for the way Kings Of War plays without having to paint a massive amount of miniatures. Additionally, games also don't take forever either so you'll be able to maybe get one or two games in an evening or even more throughout a weekend.

The first of these is the Forces Of Nature set which contains thirty of the hard plastic Naiads as well as ten hard plastic Salamanders. You also get (across all the sets), a set of Quickstart Rules and the rules you need for your army.

If you don't want to fight alongside the elemental powers of Pannithor then how about touching the divine with the Basileans?

Basilean Ambush Set - Kings Of War

Basilean Ambush Set // Kings Of War

This set comes with a good core of miniatures in hard plastic. You get forty miniatures spread over Swordsmen, Spearmen and Crossbowmen. This should be great for Ambush obviously but also a solid way for you to create the core of your army going forward.

The last of the Ambush Sets is that for the Abyssal Dwarfs.

Abyssal Dwarf Ambush Set - Kings Of War

Abyssal Dwarf Ambush Set // Kings Of War

This set comes with some decidedly evil-looking Dwarfs. You get forty miniatures that allow you to make Abyssal Dwarf Blacksouls and Decimators. A good mix of melee and ranged options.

If you and a friend are looking to get involved then you could also get The Chill Of Twilight: Two-Player Ambush Starter Set.

Two Player Ambush Starter Set - Kings Of War

Two-Player Ambush Starter Set // Kings Of War

This set pits the forces of the Northern Alliance, spread across twenty hard plastic Ice Kin Hunters and Half-Elf Berserkers. They are joined by two Frostclaw Riders who will give you a bit of an extra punch. They are going to be pitted against sixteen of the hard plastic Twilight Kin Corsair Voidwalkers/Fleetwardens and three of the brutal-looking Twilight Kin Impalers.

You will also get the Ambush Sheets for both of the factions as well as the Ambush Rulebook and a Scenario Sheet to get you going.

All in all, this is a pretty nice selection of options for people diving in and wanting to get started with Kings Of War!
