Take Aim With Victrix’s New Roman Bolt Shooter Kit
January 22, 2024 by brennon
Victrix has now released their new Early Imperial Roman Bolt Shooter set that will be giving you a bit of artillery support when you take to the 28mm Historical battlefields of Ancient times.
Roman Bolt Shooter // Victrix Miniatures
This set comes with four Bolt Shooters as well as sixteen crew miniatures that come in a variety of poses. You'll get them working the hand cranks, loading bolts and standing guard. There are also bonus options allowing you to make the engineers working on the defences around the Bolt Shooters.

You will also get a bunch of bonus bits and pieces including the defensive stakes that sit around the Bolt Shooter and four barrels that come loaded with the ammo you'll be using to fire your weapons. You essentially get everything that you need to make some fun vignettes based around these pieces of artillery, sat at the back of your army.
Roman Bolt Shooter Crew // Victrix Miniatures
Whilst these sets have been designed to match the Early Imperial Roman armies marching across the continent and beyond, you could easily convert them to Late Romans with some of the different sets that Victrix also produce.
I think the Early Imperial Roman look is great though as it's immediately iconic, especially with that familiar style of arms and armour. Having a few of these situated in and amongst your army will be good for nailing that conquering vibe as you smash your pathetic enemies into dust underneath raining bolts.

Siege your foes and cause panic with a few of these in your army. A great new 28mm plastic set that fits nicely with the rest of their range. You can check out more of the Roman miniatures from Victrix HERE.
Will you be scooping up this set?

Dangerous looking pointy stick thrower!
Great kit and I really do like the way they have been painted. Wish I could do that. Unfortunately I just have no excuse to pick this up.
