Footsore Miniatures & Games have revealed more information about their upcoming Kickstarter campaign that aims to bring a whole host of new Matt Bickley 28mm Vikings to the tabletop. All the miniatures are done and they are looking good!
Matt Bickley's Vikings // Footsore Miniatures & Games
The claim of "the best ever made" isn't too far off once you get stuck into some of the sculpts here. There is a HUGE range of different Vikings armed with swords, bows, spears and more. You've then got different flavours of Viking from the lowly Bondi through to the raging Berserker. The sculpts also look amazing with loads of dynamism and motion at play making them perfect for those crafting smaller warbands for skirmish games where you want miniatures packed with character.
The initial idea is seventy Viking miniatures but there are more planned. The idea is that it will be a comprehensive range where you'll be able to find everything you need in one place. The Kickstarter itself is to fund the production of the miniatures that have been in the works for eighteen months!
The Kickstarter is going to be going live in March 2024 and I imagine it is going to be very, very popular.
Will you be checking out this campaign in two months?

that’s a lot of Vikings.
More than enough for a Crus-raid?
ohh daddy
Very nice minis, but I´m so sick of Kickstarters. I don´t want to wait a year until I get my stuff and it doesn´t support FLGS.
But that´s just me and I wish them all the best of luck for the campaign.
I am quite liking the look of the fur clad berserkers (I assume that’s what they are). I can see them being VERY useful in my Symbaroum project – one of my Barbarian clans is themed around Vikings
Just when you think the world doesn’t need any more Viking models… there are some really lovely sculpts in this one though. I wonder if these will be intended to replace Footsore’s own range or to sit alongside it int he longer term.
