The reasons why we’re arguing shall remain nameless, but according to the Bard/Dr. Blaxill video, the new Bretonninan Wizard girl is afull 2 heads (!!!) taller than her predecessor. That’s WAY more of a growth spurt than even I was expecting. My 40mm Nürnberger Meisterzinn figures are starting to look like a viable option.
It could be explained, of course. Maybe her parents were emigrés from Nordland/Marienburg and that’s why she’s so tall.
I have at least 1 of those older (5th edition) foot knights and he looks normal next to his contemporaries, but rather Dwarfish next to more modern models.
I’m not too worried about scale, as already stated, people aren’t all the same size in real life, so why should this be different in a fantasy world ? Haven’t painted them yet, but I got some Imperial City Militia from Raging Hormones, erm, Heroes, and those girls look positively Amazonian next to my Battlemasters Halberdiers. Fat chance of any of those guys getting a date.
Maybe they are also Nordländer, sort of like the Varangian (read: Viking) guard at the Byzantine court……..
