@wolfie65 nobody is saying scale creep doesn’t happen, only that the increased base size is not an indicator of scale creep. Not least because we have seen the actual new models and they are the same size as the old WFB models that they are designed to sit alongside. GW doesn’t want people using miniatures from one game in another (see HH and 40k where scales are starting to deviate) and so they won’t “creep” the miniatures scale on The Old World to ensure that it remains “incompatible” with AoS. I also suspect that’s why there are no Skaven or Lizardmen planned for The Old World – because they are both AoS armies.
And there’s no speculation about what models they will be selling for The Old World. They are 100% Going to be bringing back the miniatures as they were at the end of 8th edition but now packaged with 25mm bases. Regardless of whether it sells well or not, the intention is to reuse the old kits and, where ranges had metal/resin models, replace with new plastics. It’s been made very clear that’s what the intention is. So Brets are getting dismounted knights and a couple of new character miniatures. They aren’t redesigning the entire range, for all intents and purposes they are bringing back the old Warhammer ranges. That’s the intention from the outset. For example, Brets are getting dismounted knights and a couple of new character miniatures. It doesn’t appear that Grail Knights (previously metal) are going to make an appearance because we haven’t seen any new plastic cavalry, but it’s conceivable that questing knights might now be an infantry choice (also previously metal) as 2h weapons is an option for the dismounted knights.
