TTCombat Get Ready For A Joust With Half Tilt In 2024
December 29, 2023 by brennon
TTCombat had another awesome preview over the Christmas period. Their game, Half Tilt, has been in the works for a while but it looks like 2024 is going to be the year when this jousting game hits the tabletop with a Starter Set and more.

This game of Fantasy jousting between Halflings is going to be coming to Kickstarter in January (so not too long to go on that front!). Sir Cluckington (pictured below) will be joined by Frederik, Pigismund and a host of other knights as part of a Starter Box.

The game will be played out on the Tiltyard Grid where they will pursue each other around, clashing each time that they pass by. TTCombat has mentioned that this creates a fun sense of "cat and mouse" gameplay where the knights are trying to catch each other out.
A lot of work has gone into the miniatures as you can see but also revamping and tweaking the cards for the game as well. You can see the one for Cluckington below who is no slouch but certainly not the bravest knight in the army.

I like the look of the miniatures that TTCombat have been working on and a fun, chaotic game of jousting sounds like it could be great for pick-up and play sessions at a club or amongst a group before they dive into their larger wargames of an evening.
With a lot of work going into the game throughout 2023 to refine the experience, I am eager to watch a bit of gameplay for Half Tilt to see how it plays. TTCombat has done a great job with the likes of Carnevale and Rumbleslam! so I'm hoping for something good.
Will you be checking out Half Tilt?

Brave Sir Robin would admire Sir Cluckington’s helm device for decoration. It looks like it will be interesting as a pick up game
Half-joust?! oO
This looks fantastic. I WILL check this out!
I printed off the “Full tilt” rules a few months ago infact… look forward to knowing more…
After decades in this hobby and dozens of game systems, I can finally say that a company has designed the perfect product for me.
I’ve never wanted something more than this.
Looks silly and fun, I may well give it a serious look when it comes out.
