Neferata’s Kin Joins The Vampires Of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
December 19, 2023 by brennon
A new bloodsucker has been previewed for Warhammer Age Of Sigmar and The Mortal Realms. One of Neferata’s favourites has been unleashed alongside her menagerie of terrible creatures. See what you make of Sekhar, Fang Of Nulahmia.

Looking back to the classic Lahmians of Warhammer Fantasy Battles, this new vampire certainly carries through a lot of those Ancient vibes. Her Sekhar and the other agents of Neferata have wormed their way into the court of Ushoran and they are using his blood to poison the realms. She is a master of spells, hypnotism and using her very gestures to get you to do what she wants.
I think her miniature is going to be pretty marmite. I like the ancient design of her armour as if she has come from some deep crypt that was locked away during the shattering of The Old World and has come again to these new realms. I think an army of skeletons painted in the same way would look brilliant although her real focus is on the beasts that flock to her call.

Ouboroth fights alongside her (the snake that you see here) but she also comes with a myriad of other creatures in her new boxed set, the Fangs Of The Blood Queen. Inside this set, you'll get Sekhar, three Fell Bats and ten Dire Wolves.

Rules for using her in your games are going to be provided as a free download so you'll be able to drop her into your games and have some fun rampaging across The Mortal Realms with your pack of wild beasts. As I said, I think she's going to either be a favourite miniature for a collector or one that gets avoided.
Whilst I think you could do some fun stuff when it came to painting her, she doesn't quite fit with anything that we've seen so far within the Soulblight Gravelords range. Maybe we'll see more in this "Nulahmia" (it's like the old Lahmia but new!) style as part of future releases.
What do you make of this new vampire queen?

What’s with the silly large head pieces? Are their necks made of unoptanium!?
Undeath clearly comes with good spine and neck strength
Think lostech from Battletech or some such from 40k. They apparently did it better in the Old old days.
It’s AoS. Physics don’t apply…
10/10 for the paintjob. Those high contrast metallics are sweet!
I actually quite like this. Tempted to get her just as a one-off paint job.
I like the miniature, I just wish that GW would stop making the vampires so damn ugly. The Lahmians are supposed to be beautiful and seductive. This one looks like Gollum.
