Taiga Miniatures have an impressive new collection of wargaming bases for you to scoop up on Kickstarter right now. Their Base Boost campaign looks to provide you with pretty much any base you would ever need for a variety of genres and in different styles.

Throughout the campaign, you'll be able to get your hands on miniatures that would be useful in adding some awesomeness to your miniatures without you having to fiddle around with basing materials. As I've mentioned in the past, bases help to frame the miniature and tell a story and so it's pretty important to get them right if you want to make a collection look cohesive.

There are five different base sets for you to choose from and within those you'll then get round and square bases, oval ones, rectangular options as well as hex bases for those that are that way inclined. All of them come with different ways for you to print them with lips, as toppers (to sit on existing bases) and with ways to add magnets into the bottom. All very handy I reckon and because you're 3D Printing, you can tailor these to suit you.

The different base sets feature various interesting designs that don't swamp the base but showcase what kind of environment you'll be exploring in your games. I quite like the City Ruins one which would be good for post-apocalyptic wargaming and modern adventures but I think that the Magic Forest is rather awesome.

If you're going to be diving into the whimsical then these bases might be for you. I like the idea of using these bases for games like ArcWorlde where you want to really push the fairy tale and folklore vibe amongst your miniatures.

If you're looking to dive into something more dungeon-based, perhaps for Dungeonalia, then you might want to scoop up the Necropolis Dungeon set.

This could be great for theming a band of skirmishers that are heading down into a dungeon or for mounting your D&D heroes. I also like the idea of doing a fun Undead force where you use these to base your skeletons and zombies!

Keeping with the idea of Fantasy adventures, you could also go off on a piratical quest to uncover buried treasure with this set below.

Because a lot of these could also be printed as toppers, you could always use these as the basis for a terrain project as well. I could see a few of these working together to create dioramas and larger scenic bases for you to put terrain on.

Last but not least, we have some awesome Sci-Fi options for those looking to play out something in a Grimdark future or perhaps something Cyberpunk. These could also be great for those heading off on adventures in Stargrave.

Sci-Fi AI Experiments Bases - Taiga Miniatures

The range of bases here is excellent and should provide you with a good starting point when it comes to finishing off your latest project with something snazzy. As the campaign continues, there are more and more options popping up so make sure to keep an eye on it.

Will you be backing for one or more of these base sets?
