In this "first episode" for the upcoming Celestial boardgame there is an absolute mountain of plastic miniatures that really stand out as something far removed from the usual designs we see. The game plays in several ways, a story-driven scenario-based campaign that can be played competitively or cooperatively, and a full-on PVP version with list-building that allows you to pick and choose from any of the Celestials big or small.
As it is a prototype some things are still a work in progress, the campaign book and lore book being prime examples, but from what I can see it's already pretty solid and the design and production of the models is amazing so hopefully it comes through in the finished product.
What do you make of the Celestials?

I didn’t realise this was the game with those miniatures until you showed them painted. Now it all makes sense in my head (sort of).
The artwork is amazing and it’s nice to see them using hard plastic for a board game rather than bendy soft plastic.
Looking forward to the gameplay video to see how it all works.
Also squarish bases.
I’ve seen that previous things they’ve done are soft plastic and in the past we got a prototype with 3D prints that went on to be soft plastic. Considering the tooling costs I can’t imagine them changing, but as with all things nothing is certain. I’ll say this though the miniatures are f’ing gorgeous. Bat shit insane, but gorgeous
They are great looking figures for gaming with an love the Manga/X-Men look to the game board’s.
