Check Out Vehicles From Crooked Dice’s 7TV & MANTA Ray 5
August 15, 2023 by brennon
Crooked Dice are now taking pre-orders for their MANTA Ray 5 Feature Pack that expands the options for your Pulp wargames using 7TV. I looked at some of the miniatures last week but now the pre-orders are live, I thought it would be neat to show off some of the vehicles Crooked Dice have thrown into the mix!
MANTA Ray 5 Bundle // Crooked Dice
First up, we should look at the awesome contents of the Feature Pack which you can use to play out some awesome "episodes" of 7TV on the tabletop. I love the retro cover for the pack itself and as you can see, you get all of the cards and accessories you need to start playing your games with this set. You just need the Core Rules and away you go.
As well as providing you with the accessories and rules here, Crooked Dice have also talked about which models would be best suited to play the various scenarios from this Feature Pack. This means that you'll be able to buy the exact miniatures you need from their selection. You can find out more about the bundles and such HERE.
Now the vehicles!
MANTA Ray 5 Ship // Crooked Dice
The first of the vehicles is the incredibly sleek-looking M.A.N.T.A Ray 5. This is the ship of Tom Trident that will be diving beneath the waves and being used to best the Nautican Empire. Talking of the Nautican Empire, you can also get one of their vessels, the Piranha Craft.
Nautican Piranha Craft // Crooked Dice
Well that is just bloody amazing. The Piranha Craft is giving me some amazing retro vibes and whilst this is a great miniature painted up in this metallic style, imagine how this would look if it was painted green!
If you're interested in scale, this is how the Piranha Craft stacks up against some of the miniatures from the Nautican Empire.

You'll also note a miniature for Coralina over there on the right hand side of the image! I reckon she probably needs saving from the clutches of the Nautican Empire, or at least extracting from their compound beneath the waves where she has been gathering information for MANTA Force.
Are you going to be picking up these miniatures and diving deeper into this 7TV collection?

Ooooh shiny…..
Maria Aqua Maria.
Love the sub ship’s.
Just got my revised second edition rulebook delivered from the last kickstarter and I am hyped to get some games of this in. Just need to rope in some unsuspecting victim at my local club.
I thought I’d start with repurposing the miniatures from my Big Trouble in Little China board game for a scenario. Just need to find some contemporary US ‘China town’ aesthetic terrain.
Any ideas folks?
Knights of Dice had a Chinatown set, but sadly, they closed down. Maybe you can still chase some down, though.

There’s some still in stock in the US at Noble Knight games:
