A Biblical Apocalypse Awaits In Caesar Ink’s Doomsong RPG
August 9, 2023 by brennon
You folks as part of the OnTableTop community will know Chris Caesar as the creator of our awesome Justins & Dragins comic series as well as his work on loads of amazing projects from the likes of River Horse. Well, Chris and brother Jack alongside fellow team member Morgan are going to be creating their own tabletop roleplaying game project, coming to Kickstarter soon. See what you make of DOOMSONG!
Doomsong: Lord Have Mercy Upon Us - Kickstarter // Caesar Ink
This upcoming roleplaying game is a macabre endeavour as you play as members of the Gravedigger's Guild who are duty-bound to bury the dead in a world which is on the edge of a Biblical apocalypse. Sounds amazing. Set in a terrible plaguescape (great word), you're going to be going up against the Lamentide Of Pestilence and seeing if you can come out the other side.
Doomsong Corebook // Caesar Ink
The Kickstarter is aiming to produce two deluxe hardback books (see above) as well as some lovely additional accessories including that cloth map and that lovely Doomcoin. I've had the chance to have an early look through the book and it is absolutely gorgeous. The artwork and design by Mortiz Krebs and Jack is wonderful and if you're a fan of games out there like MORK BORG and such, this is very much going to be up your alley.
Doomsong: Lord Have Mercy Upon Us // Caesar Ink
As well as the Core Book, you'll also be able to get your hands on a full campaign presented as part of Lord Have Mercy Upon Us. This has been written by Morgan Finley and should be a great introduction to the world that Caesar Ink have created for you to explore.
If this is of interest to you, make sure to watch out for more information as Caesar Ink are going to be revealing more in the run up to the Kickstarter launch in October. You'll be able to get a taster of the game and see if it works for you!
In the meantime, hit up that Kickstarter and get notified when the project goes live!

Great to see Doomsong on the news feed! We are very proud of what we’ve done here…
…Small note though, its not a solo RPG :p It’s a very traditional bring your friends RPG.
Oops! A mistype on my part. All sorted!
You would’ve gotten away away with it if it wasn’t for these meddling kids.
Do we get to sing “diggy diggy grave”?
If you live long enough :p
Well then, we have a fine bit of filth over here that hasn’t yet been touched and plenty of corpses in the cart. The game sounds like something to almost die for
Sounds good an a cloth mat to get the periodic vibes going could try cosplay outfits from classic film’s.
