Caesars Gallic Wars - Hail Caesar - Warlord Games

Caesar's Gallic Wars - Hail Caesar // Warlord Games

As you might have guessed by the name of this particular book, this supplement follows the Gallic Wars under Gaius Julius Caesar. Inside, you'll find a year-by-year narrative to follow that plots the campaign through a series of scenarios matching the encounters and battles that were fought.

This means you'll either be looking to write the same history as Caesar did as part of Commentarii de Bello Gallico or perhaps taking up leadership of the Gallic tribes who are looking to punish the Romans for their incursion into their lands.

There are forty-four scenarios in total as well as army lists for Caesar's Roman Legions plus the Helvetii, Belgae, Gaul, Germani and Briton tribes that he came up against during his endeavours.

Defend The Eagle Special Miniature - Hail Caesar

"Defend The Eagle" Special Miniature // Hail Caesar

Pre-order via Warlord Games will also get you the "Defend The Eagle" miniature which recreates a famous moment from the Tenth Legions landing in Britain. As his comrades faltered against strong opposition he was meant to have said (thanks to Warlord for the text)...

“Leap down, soldiers, unless you wish to betray your eagle to the enemy; it shall be told that I at any rate did my duty to my country and my general"

That's one way to get your fellow warriors into the heart of battle. No one wants to be the one who has to explain how they lost their standard to the enemy! A very cool miniature and one that might inspire folks to create the Tenth Legion as it marched on the Britons.

Will you be picking up this supplement?
