On The Road seems like a fitting board game for a summer of festivals. If you've ever wanted to take a band on tour then maybe you'll like this new board game coming soon from HELVETIQ.

On The Road // Helvetiq

During the game, you will travel around the country trying to gather the highest number of fans. To win, you will need to make sure that you get to the Summer festival so that they can see you on stage! On a turn, you'll play movement cards to travel to different festivals and traverse tiles that represent different landscapes. The more you visit a particular landscape, the more fans you will get which are represented by meeples in a bag.

When on the night tiles, you will draw from the bag and your fans will get to watch you play whilst others get sent to line up for the toilets. Sounds like a proper festival experience. Once all of the tickets for the festival have been sold, the game ends and the winning band is the one with the most fans watching you.

I really like the sound of this and it has a nice look to it as well. Miguel Coimbra has done a great job on the artwork here which really helps to sell the style of game you're playing. With an appropriate age of eight, it seems like this might be a good family game.
