Mantic's Kings Of War and the world of Pannithor is rich with stories and there are quite a few of them you can dive into as part of the Tales Of Pannithor series. One such new book for the series comes from Rob Burman who a lot of folks will know from his work at Mantic. Get sneaky and stabby with Ascent Of The Goblin King.

Here's the background for this particular entry in the Fantasy series...

"Grogger Split-tooth is a goblin with ambition. Big ambitions! After a mysterious vision shows that Grogger could become the king of all goblins, he sets out on a perilous quest to become the supreme ruler of all Pannithor’s greenskins. There’s just one problem: only he believes the vision!

First though, he needs to rescue a goblin wizard that’s being held captive by a group of salamander corsairs. These man-sized, lizard-like creatures aren’t going to give up the wizard without a fight, which means Grogger’s going to need all the help he can get.

Unfortunately for him, he’s joined by a goblin with a love for high explosives, a troll that wants to kill him, and a beast handler who is ready to stab him in the back; Grogger’s journey to becoming king isn’t going to be an easy one."

Well, that sounds like a perfect start to a story. As Gerry pointed out to me when he showed off the book, Rob has said that to the questions "Did I dress as a goblin while writing this?" and "Should it be read in the voice of a goblin?", the answer to both is yes. That certainly sounds like Rob had a lot of fun whilst writing this one!

Ascent Of The Goblin King is available as both a physical book and in eBook format and is just part of a wider range of Tales Of Pannithor. You can find lots here HERE...
