New Wildercorps Hunters Stalk Into Age Of Sigmar’s Warcry
July 24, 2023 by brennon
The Cities Of Sigmar are coming soon to the Fantasy world of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar; a new look and updated aesthetic for the remnants of The Old World. That also means room to expand into other games like their great skirmish-based affair, Warcry. See what you make of the new mortal warband, the Wildercorps Hunters.

Made up of talented scouts, veteran trackers and those who have survived in the Mortal Realms without the aid of the Stormcast for generations, the Wildercorps Hunters are not to be trifled with. They make up for their lack of immortality with a wild will and cunning that makes them perfect for aiding the Crusades that Sigmar has ordered out into the realms.
As well as their own skills, they also call on the skills of Trailhounds who have been bred to deal with the deadly beasts that wander the land. A Mortal Realms man's best friend!

As well as leading large armies, these Wildercorps Hunters often find themselves forming into warbands and ranging the woods seeking prey of their own. With a perfect mix of the old and the new in their aesthetic, this is a great-looking warband for those wanting to get their fix of something Mordheim-esque in games of Warcry.
I can see a lot of folks picking up these miniatures to do lots of conversions with as well. They seem like they should be a shoo-in for making thematic characters to lead your Cities Of Sigmar armies.
Could you be tempted by the Wildercorps Hunters?

I’m sure if GW keep telling themselves that the Cities of Sigmar look good, eventually they’ll believe it. Imagine binning off the Empire and Bretonia for, erm, that. And then trying to shoehorn it into Warcry where it’s outshone by all of the amazing Chaos warbands
It’s a weird choice, as someone else mentioned these look very Mordheimesque and don’t seem at all in keeping with AOS.
completely agree with @onlyonepinman these lack the appeal of the old world factions and seem a future addition to warcry
These look wonderful- really getting strong Mordheim vibes from this warband.
Yeah Mordheim was the first thing I thought of when I saw these.
I like these. But I’d likely use them as a quirky faction for another none GW skirmish game.
Stunning looking detailed figures.
I like their look, except for the odd helmet ?♂️
