Just as a heads up to folks, the terrain building month wouldn’t be in September (although we joke about it in the video). If we go ahead it will be later this year. A firm date will be given in the near future.
Happy Sunday CoGs and OTTers!
Happy Sunday,
also “Never go full retard”
never
I’ve killed something I love
Terrain month would be cool. I could do even more 6mm Terrain now that Epic is becoming a proper thing. Maybe do a “How much 6mm terrain can I make with $20” type thing.
Happy Sunday.
I love a really nice table with loads of terrain, that project is very inspiring. Of course the drawback of having so much terrain is the storage, it takes up a lot of space.
@brennon Painting terrain isn’t so bad if you don’t have an airbrush, which I don’t. I just use a bigger brush, lol.
That reminds me, I really must paint my Wizards tower I got for the multi-ward winning Moonstone. I might even start it next week.

Hobby softly and carry a big brush
You leave your big soft brushes you bought from SnMStuff off camera, good sir ?
happy sunday ?
I should get that wagon. When I was in South Africa a guide explained that the only time a circle of wagons was used was against zulus not in the west at all. Apart from movies
they did do it, but it was part of camping to corral livestock. I’d be surprised if it didn’t happen at least a couple of times though
Victrix heads on Wargames Atlantic bodies. Hoping there’s a big-headed Norman thing going on.
Related: there’s a bloke in my local called Big-Headed Norman, talks a lot of shite but a nice fella.
Great – got a lot of motivation and ideas again – and the Revell Viking ship has already been ordered – have a great hobby week…
I am probably going to get about three of them now haha
I had the Viking ship in the 80s (bought from the Jorvik gift shop no less). The shield designs were stickers and the original vac-formed sail had a moulded-in chicken (possibly a raven) design. I can’t remember whether it was included in the kit but I’m very confident I did not do any rigging.
I am up for a terrain month. I was thinking about scratch building some scenery for my Eastern Front project anyway. And yes, great looking tables are awesome and really enhance the gaming experience. Also I agree that working on the terrain for a project really helps setting the scene for the whole project. I am slowly placing the scene for my Eastern Front project, while I got some ideas set, not everything yet. Once I do I can start working on some terrain for it as well.
All spot on! I’m intrigued to see what folks would choose to make for a month of terrain work 🙂
Morning XLBSers.
Don’t forget the chuck wagon the grouchy cook drive’s @avernos.
Their flocking this way.
Somebody mention some tanks John’s nodding off.?
An Gerry makes an angry Gerry.

Happy wet Sunday……yep i do like a good table with terrain it just makes the game that whole bit more enjoyable and believable..
Love the Krull look to the knight’s.
Happy Blunday! 00:00 Z-Scale! 01:45 Never can have too many boxes. 03:30 Kangs of Wor! 04:00 Business daddy… this sounds more wrong by the minute. 06:30 And it will be horribly expensive… maybe. hopefully not. 07:00 YELLOW BLANKET! 09:30 High attention to detail 13:00 Mood board? oO is that like the moodrings from the past? 14:30 creepy crawlies 19:00 flocking dinos 25:00 Serious side note: every time I see the amount of hobby the team is doing I really feel inadequate. And then I have to remind myself: It’s part of their job. They *need* to do hobby otherwise there… Read more »
Hobby isn’t part of my job.
@Brennon can relate to the horror of painting boardgame minis, started painting Descent 2nd Ed, awful awful miniatures, did about a third of them , then didn’t pick up a paintbrush for a couple of years
Some of them give “you weren’t there man” vibes for sure
Fab show guy’s.
Love to do some terrain building. I think it’s probably my favourite part of the hobby.
Terrain, good for playing on but not in my baliwick. I’ll work on this in future.
@lloyd Your Giftmas has been taken care of… beware.
Oh! It’s only July man!
Signed up for scenery September. Looking forward to it. Great Golden Buttons. Chat soon. ?
100% up for terrain month. I’ve just started laser cutting my own 15mm terrain pieces for my 15mm bolt action project. So spot on timing.
