Scatter Terrain by ewokkebab

We start off with a whole host of terrain that has come from ewokkebab. They have been working on a whole bunch of different terrain projects and dealing with an element of our tabletop games that a lot of folks overlook. It's all well and good having some nice-looking miniatures but you need some nice terrain as well!

Terrain #1 by ewokkebab

Some of the most recent terrain that has been added to the project focuses on jungles, huts and the like for some Bolt Action or indeed Pulp adventures. It's pretty awesome seeing how far you can take aquarium plants when you put a bit of extra effort into their presentation. Reworking their placement and tinkering with the bases really sells these and they look fantastic as a tightly packed jungle full of ambushers!

Terrain #2 by ewokkebab

As well as the jungles, ewokkebab has also been working away on a great range of buildings to go alongside the greenery. Again, these look great and seem to have come together in short order. These 3D Printed huts just needed a lick of paint and they were good to go. It's good to see lots of different colours across the buildings as well which makes the collection feel realistic.

That isn't all that ewokkebab has been working on though. As well as the jungles, they have dove into all sorts of Fantasy and Sci-Fi tabletops for use in games like Stargrave and Frostgrave. For example, this is the old abandoned mining complex for use in some Sci-Fi games!

Terrain #3 by ewokkebab

This is the kind of terrain collection that I want to eventually get around to finishing so that I don't feel like I have sparse tabletops! I think maybe it's worth us looking at doing some "forced" terrain hobby for a while you know. Maybe we could do a fun challenge like we've done for the Spring Clean Challenge where we have folks focus on building terrain for a month? Would people be interested in that?

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Of Venice by onlyonepinman

Moving on from terrain, we have onlyonepinman who is painting up the contents of Brotherhood Of Venice, the ace Assassin's Creed board game. Some great work has gone into this project including painting up the main man from the Assassin's Creed franchise (at least for many!), Ezio.

Assassins Creed #1 by onlyonepinman

I think the painting here is great, especially when it comes to working with all of that white! onlyonepinman has also had to contend with getting all of those details out of the miniature as well and working in that bright red too. I do appreciate that onlyonepinman gave Ezio his beard as that's the coolest version of him in my opinion!

As well as having fun with Ezio, onlyonepinman has also been working on some of the enemies that you'll be going up against in-game. For example, these mounted fellows with some fearsome-looking cavalry hammers. What has been interesting is that they have been working through not only the good bits of painting this range of miniatures but also dealing with their shortcomings as well.

Assassins Creed #2 by onlyonepinman

The project discusses working with the soft details on the miniatures and having to use all manner of techniques in order to make them pop. Considering the issues that they had with these miniatures, I think they have turned out really nicely. I particularly like the way the red and blue have come out on the horses.

I also liked these armoured fellows!

Assassins Creed #3 by onlyonepinman

Some gorgeous miniatures there represent some of the heavily armoured individuals that you might find yourself going up against. Again, there is a breakdown of how these miniatures came to life on the project page with a lot of detail for making them pop.

If this doesn't get you excited to try and work your way through a board game packed full of miniatures, I don't know what will. Some of the techniques here would be great for those looking to tackle all of those Kickstarter games that drop with more miniatures than you can hold.

Dystopian Wars Terrain by wolf320f

Last, but not least, we're looking at some of the work by wolf320f on their Dystopian Wars collection. What really caught my attention though was the work on the terrain. Again, it was nice to see someone making some fun terrain to use in their games!

Dystopian Wars #1 by wolf320f

wolf320f describes these as nothing fancy but I think these 3D Printed pieces look awesome and even if they have been finished off with a selection of regular hobby supplies, this is more effort than most people put into their tabletops. I really like the sea effect on this piece above and the way the waves have been done.

As well as the lighthouse outcrop there are also some smaller pieces which include a runway for a very brave pilot to take off from and another little lighthouse piece. With the mammoth size of some of the ships, walkers and flyers in Dystopian Wars, I'd love to get into the mind of the folks calling these islands home. I bet they feel utterly dwarfed by some of those behemoths!

Dystopian Wars #2 by wolf320f

These homemade pieces also work well with the plastic range from Warcradle Studios which allows you to build some nice, modular rigs. I think the painting on these is great and I love how mega-pulp they are with all those bright colours in play.

Dystopian Wars #3 by wolf320f

This is a nice little collection from wolf320f and it's worth going to have a look at some more of their work in the project linked above. You might get some inspiration to have a pop at making some Dystopian Wars terrain of your own!
