Happy Sunday CoGs and OTTers!
Happy Sunday,
Go see Jesus or the Big MO, whatever floats that boat. but make sure you see the Greatest Movie ever made.
@lloyd. If you bought lots and lots of floating shelves you could have a working track running round the walls of your house with a a station in every room
Yeah the other half will definitely go for that lol
Take backs only once per game?…Ben must just play with power gamers and rules lawyers all the time lol
lol yeah right 🙂
We once played 40k using the WW2 Crossfire rules…That was interesting
It’s the XLBS Show Guy’s.
That’s player one Ben ?
How to deal with cheaters, well you know how some wargames have like these massive tomes for rulebooks they make excellent slap in the face materials for cheaters. Not only are they solid enough that it might get through their thick skulls that cheating isn’t okay, it is also the rulebook with the rules they should follow.
Good show and hat doff to all the recognized projects. It’s summer… and winter is coming.
I love your contributions to these topics, Lloyd – John 2023
Remember we have the same T-shirt 🙂
The white flag ?
Way back as a teen/young man I played quite regularly with the same large group of gamers. Cutting our teeth on games like Diplomacy, Rome, 40k and 1 of our regular house rules…..
Its only cheating if you get caught!
So hilarious and taught you to really learn the rules if you want to catch your opponent out.
Great show guy’s.
Happy Sunday.
The Doomed is very intriguing and I’ll be looking forward the content coming. It may be my next game.
I don’t like cheating in wargaming as it’s a discourtesy to your opponent and a waste of everyone’s time. I play because I like a mix of the developing story on the table and to tax my brain with the problem solving.
I’ve no problem with house rules but I always like to give the actual rules a fair go initially and changing scenario specifics is no problem.
Congrats to the three golden button winners, some great projects there.

The guy who is going to show me how to play told me to check out this youtube channel called Defective Dice apparently it has some good information on it. Do you know it at all?

@brennon
Err on the side of carnage! came from MERCS. Or at least that’s where I first heard it. It was a guiding philosophy of how to resolve a distor interpretation of a rule.
Yes! That’s the game!
If you can take advantage of a situation in some way, it’s your duty as an American to do it. Why should the race always be to the swift, or the jumble to the quick-witted? Should they be allowed to win merely because of the gifts god gave them? Well I say, “Cheating is the gift man gives himself.”
Montgomery Burns – The Simpsons.
I am not saying I agree…..cough, cough or disagree cough, cough!
