Themeborne successfully Kickstarted The Last Of Us: Escape The Dark last year and now they are accepting pre-orders over on their webstore so you can dive in if you missed out on the campaign.

Powered by the mechanics that have driven previous Escape The Dark games but with a few tweaks here and there, The Last Of Us allows you to dive into a solo or cooperative experience with as many as five players as you seek to survive in this clicker-infested world. You'll start in the quarantine zone and see if you can make it to the safe haven known as Jackson whilst trying to keep everyone alive.

Using dice-based encounter resolution and a myriad of weapons and tools that you've scavenged on your route, you'll be trying to work past Chapter cards which appear at different locations and present you with ever-changing threats. Some of these threats are deadly infected but others could simply be the humans you encounter that have their own agendas. Through all of this, you'll tell the tale of Joel, Ellie and a cast of other The Last Of Us characters.

The Escape The Dark mechanics seem like a great fit with The Last Of Us and it feels like a marriage made in heaven when it comes to art as well.
