This whole project is jaw-droppingly gorgeous. I absolutely love the bright, clean colours, combined with the paler bases. It just makes them pop even more.
Thanks very much. I really wanted to push the contrast between the dark, austere Hospitallers and the Islamic forces, really leaning into the bright colours. I’m honestly not sure how historically accurate this is, but I’m enjoying the end results!
I’ll confess to being really lazy at basing. I look for a simple, repeatable scheme and hope they work out. Some are probably a bit marmite (like on my samurai project), but they’re all quick to do.
These are beautiful, so colourful and well painted.
Cheers very much. The switch between the very plain austere colours of the Hospitallers to throwing all the colours at the Islamic figures has been very enjoyable, and although the latter is a bit more time consuming, I’m very happy with how everything has turned out.
I see you’ve started a Baron’s War project too; I’m looking forward to seeing what you do, already liking your scenery a lot.
