<.< 😀
Quite looking forward to Doomed.
Morning XLBSers.
Good eight legged freaks? Gerry.
Thanks for the GB. Even more thanks for the reminder about the Gripping Beast Hexen @brennon. I wanted some withchfinders and those are perfect. Ordered!
Glad I could be of assistance!
Fab show guy’s.
“No Skyclad here”. Disgusting. Fix it now. Great band.
I am now thinking of making a This is Not a Test warband from the Frostgrave Gnolls with the Stargrave Scavengers and maybe some other random bits I have laying around.
I agree with Gerry on the kitbashing and conversions.
This is the way
Oh gawds it’s the blood vore. My absolute favourite monster model!
Happy Sunday.
Great set of golden buttons there. Going to have to click a few follows with those.
I’d say a conversion is a change to the miniature that is different to how it was originally sculpted and a kit bash is a type of conversion where several different kits are used.
Funny thing, I’ve also been looking at the Combat Patrol boxes and I’m thinking of picking up one (or perhaps more) as a simpler way of playing 40K. They’d make nice little painting projects as well with a definite end goal.
Happy Sunday cracking show lads..
Think you captured most of the plastic cross kitbashing (Justin should know by now Mr McCabe is ofc right and your wrong young Justin with so much to learn). Perrys 100yrs War should match up with there WOTR Kings & Queens metal leaders, and WOTR Plastics. I think CP models do the Conchkin which are literally crab men and some walking viney planets for Ben’s back to nature movement. Maybe also Black Tree design with some old Dr Who monsters especially Bugs – Zarbi and Menoptra, Nestor and think they do the burrowing bugthings? (I’m aware there are sometimes problems… Read more »
Just like Gerry I have nearly 100 suns.
I think Leigh Griffiths does as well
Did any one see how guilty Justin looked at the mention of Dwarf brock riders?
00:00 Huh? Forgot this exists!
06:00 Inklings!
10:00 people spending money again
16:00 Dusty undead
23:20 flaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaames
33:20 Train?
38:25 Leshen?
1:14:00 I have kit *bounce* *bounce* I have another kit *bounce* *bounce* BASH! I have a kitbash! *bounce* *bounce*
1:23:40 I like the blender approach.
Over again? I think I fell asleep. Bloody Sunday all over already.
See, I did mark it. But I marked it Leshen!
For The Doomed some of the Ion Age range might fit for knightly stuff? https://www.alternative-armies.com/collections/28mm-ion-age-miniature-range
Mutants https://www.alternative-armies.com/collections/grinning-skull-miniatures
Agree that the plastic kits from the likes of Wargames Atlantic, Perrys and North Star are great for kitbashing. Wargames Atlantic ancients to colonial range might be an interesting starting point.
Some great ideas there – thanks for sharing!
Interesting discussion on the Dommed kitbashes. Don’t forget the plastic ranges from Fire Forge – they could make some interesting starting points, particularly the undead for twisted bodies.
For Doomed kitbashes, I might start with some heads from Pig Iron Productions (some of the Kolony ones probably), and grab some Tudor dollies from Steel Fist Miniatures or Warlord’s Landsknechts. Make some electo-pikes as weapons.
Ah FireForge is a good shout – some very good minis in that range
I have a la4ge elf army for sale if anyone is interested. Please message me for more details
Happy synday – its thursay already ? !
Ah cheers guys for showing off the Dreadnought that was great fun to do to, and certainly something I will be doing again the future.
I’m two weeks behind on the XLBS show but I am intrigued by the thing Gerry is not supposed to be telling us about
Does the Doomed feature mounted units at all?
