Hunt Aliens With Snarling Badger’s New Wargame, Majestic 13
June 15, 2023 by brennon
Snarling Badger Studios' Vince Venturella and Adam Loper have released their next 28mm Sci-Fi wargame for you to dive into. Solo and cooperative action awaits in the alien-hunting wargame, Majestic 13, where you'll be combating alien threats that have found their way to Earth!
Majestic 13 // Snarling Badger Studios
Majestic 13 is very much like the other games from Snarling Badger in that it allows you to use whatever Near Future and Sci-Fi miniatures that you prefer. If you've got aliens and special operatives from various games, all of them can be given statistics and used in your games of Majestic 13 on the tabletop.
In Majestic 13, you'll go through a series of campaign missions as you seek to stop the alien menace from taking over the planet. You'll head out on XCOM-style missions either by yourself or cooperatively with other players, battling aliens and hoping to come home alive!

This seems like a great time to break out your new (and old) Tyranids and start using them as aliens in games of Majestic 13. You could also dive into a lot of the collections from the likes of Wargames Atlantic and North Star in order to make some unique, kit-bashed armies for use on the tabletop. There are thirteen different covert agencies working to take down the alien threat so you've got plenty to choose from when it comes to themes and ideas.
Snarling Badger put together some great videos going through the basics of the game and there's also a full Battle Report by Vince Venturella.

If you're looking for something XCOM-esque to play on the tabletop then this sounds absolutely great. You can get your hands on the rules from the Snarling Badger website where you'll be able to look at PDF versions as well as physical books if you like.
Could you be tempted to try out Majestic 13?

I like Uncle Adam. But this game is not really pulling me in in any shape or form. Which is weird because I like playing XCOM. It should click with me but it just doesn’t. :S
Very into this. From Vince’s battle report looks a bit more than “spot alien, roll dice”.
I’d best finish those Stargrave soldiers.
Book landed today. I’m hopeful
Yay it’s (Soldier) verses (Aliens).
Very keen on anything to get me some xcom tabletop action.
Xcom is probably my favorite pc-game.
Need to source some suitable mini’s for the right look
This models seem pretty suitable ?

I’ve ordered my printed copy of this.
I’m hoping it’s as good as ‘Reign in HELL’.
