Westfalia Unleash Chaos Warriors On Kickstarter With Dark Tides
June 7, 2023 by brennon
Kawe of Westfalia Miniatures and the fantastic sculptor, Boris Woloszyn, have come up with another collection of gorgeous miniatures. Inspired by the question "What about HeroQuest but only with Chaos Warriors?", this new Dark Tides collection features some fearsome boss creatures and their minions for use in your Fantasy wargames.

There are some seriously awesome miniatures in this set that would give many different heroes pause. For example, you could find yourself coming up against the absolutely deadly Krankheit.

If you prefer the idea of running around with lots of blades (just like your parents told you not to), you can also pick up the likes of Messers here. As you can see by these up close and personal previews of the sculpts, a lot of love and attention has been put into these pieces.

These hand-sculpted miniatures will be available in resin and could be fun to drop into a whole host of different games. Forbidden Psalms, the MORK BORG miniatures game, seems like it would be an apt place to begin but these would also be great for a range of different board games and skirmish games out there.

I do like the idea of doing a roleplaying game in a dark and twisted world and having these as the terrible champions that you need to defeat over the course of a campaign. Each of them is a boss in their own right and should come with their own special rules I reckon. I am getting some strong Dark Souls/Elden Ring vibes!
Dark Tides Pledges
The pledges for Dark Tides are nice and simple. You can either come in at a lower pledge value and pick what you want or go for this pledge and get everything that comes out over the course of the campaign.

The Dark Tides Pledge above offers up all of the Boss creatures and that excellent Boss Gate. I definitely want to drop that onto a table and see my players squirm as they try and work out what on earth is behind it!
As well as the Bosses, you can also get your hands on some Stretch Goal miniatures with The Minions that you see below.

Some tiny hangers-on seeking to earn the love of their patrons. If you were doing a roleplaying game, it would be neat to have these popping up every so often, seeking to waylay the heroes. You could give them a good kicking and send them into the abyss only for them to come back later, more powerful than before.
Will you be backing the Dark Tides campaign from Westfalia?

Really great twisted Chaos warriors. Very unique and fresh, but with real echoes of Slaves to Darkness and Lost and the Damned.
All Hail the Unknowing leader of the Cult of Games (as proclaimed by Warzan the Girthy, some time ago). These look awesome. I will refrain from draining my wallet any more than it has experienced. As the Starks once said in Game of Thrawns “Giftmas is coming”.
Lovely stuff
Great plague knight’s.
I just received by mail a few miniatures from Westfalia’s previous KS for Mork Borg, also sculpted by Boris. I must say I am impressed by the quality and the level of details of the models!
Check out the minions in the updates!
