Micro Art Tease More Pre-Painted WW2 Normandy Terrain
May 30, 2023 by brennon
Micro Art Studio has been teasing more of the terrain coming to their 28mm World War II collection. The latest crop of previews showcases more of the Normandy collection that you can use to furnish battlefields for games like Bolt Action. All of this comes pre-coloured and once assembled is ready to use on the tabletop.
Farmhouse // Micro Art Studio
As you can see by the Farmhouse preview above, the new terrain comes with a pre-printed texture built into the kit. Once you've removed the protective paper from the kit, you just have to break out the glue and get these kits assembled. From there, they are good to go.
Much like with their existing line, the focus is very much on recreating the landscapes that the Allies and Axis would have been fighting over in Normandy. That means plenty of French houses, shops, businesses and more that could be found in both urban and rural environments.
As well as the Farmhouse, there are also a selection of sneaky previews from the team showing off the different buildings we should be keeping an eye out for.

As well as the Farm, you've also got the Homestead as you can see here. You could imagine tightly packed and cobblestone streets where fighting gets fierce. Quite the change from the rural idyl that this was before the war began.

It does seem like there has been a shift here from the urban terrain pieces that they currently have to rural locations. You could drop these in between fields and provide your troops with some much-needed cover. Once the explosives start raining down and the bullets fly, a Chicken Coop is like a bunker!

Because of the nature of European architecture, not a lot will have changed between the wars. So, if you're looking to use some buildings to use for World War I as well as World War II then these would probably fit the bill. With a lot of the heavy lifting in terms of crafting buildings done and dusted, this should free you up to work on a few more of the natural elements of your tabletop terrain like trees and such.
Will you be having a closer look at the Micro Art Studio World War II collection?

I’m looking at the teasers and I imagine a town completely in that style. Black building with just coloured edges. Night vision missions? Tripping on Panzerschokolade? Predator on the hunt?
Is it known if this will ever be available in 15mm?
It seems their primary focus is 28mm but worth asking them on social media. If there’s enough noise about smaller scales they might consider it.
Thanks, will take a look there then. In 15mm I would certainly take it.
Rememeber they had some unpainted masters on display at Salute.
Must be dead buildings if they have a chalk line around them.
