Summon Dark Gods With Anvil Industry’s Cultists Range
May 29, 2023 by brennon
Anvil Industry has been showing off some of their bitz that can be assembled into 28mm Sci-Fi miniatures to use in a variety of wargames. The focus for the moment is on some Cultists who are no doubt working to summon dark forces on a ghost ship out there in the vast blackness of space.
Robed High Priest - Sacrificing // Anvil Industry
One of the character miniatures from the set is the Robed High Priest. There are a few different options for you to choose from with this fellow including the version of him above with his dagger at the ready, in the moment before making a sacrifice.
You can also go with this fellow who is summoning forth a demon from another realm. I like the idea that this fellow is either wearing a skull mask or his face has actually turned into a leering skull from all of his deadly doings in the darkness.
Robed High Priest - Summoning // Anvil Industry
The design of the miniatures means that they would work in all manner of grimdark wargames. You could drop them in Warhammer 40,000 but I think these would also be great when slotted in during games of Stargrave and the like. I think it would be fun to have some damned Cultists working away in the background, trying to summon some ancient entity. You could have it as them being entirely misguided or actually summoning something from the void. I like the idea of them thinking they are summoning a god but it's actually an alien being that was locked away.
Cultist Minions!
As well as the High Priests, there are also two sets of troops for you to use. Every High Priest needs an entourage that is there to ensure that the ritual is completed without issue.
Robed Cultist Squad - Male // Anvil Industry
The Robed Cultists can be picked up as either a set of Male soldiers or as Female soldiers. That means that you can mix and match and have some fun with your units. Everyone can be sucked into a terrible, eldritch consortium of madness!
Robed Cultist Squad - Female // Anvil Industry
There are lots of customisation options for you to play around with in these sets and you could always mix and match what Anvil Industry have been showcasing here with more of their range. I like the idea of taking some Cultists and using their heads with some of their regular soldiers for example.
If you're seeking out even more evil-doers though then this is certainly a collection worth diving into!
