Ticket To Ride Legacy Board Game On The Cards
May 26, 2023 by brennon
Matt Leacock and Rob Daviau are joining forces once again alongside Ticket To Ride creator Alan R. Moon as they dive into a legacy version of the hit board game. All we've seen so far is a small teaser from Days Of Wonder that hints at a new take on Ticket To Ride landing during the second half of 2023.
Ticket To Ride - Legacy // Days Of Wonder
Leacock and Daviau have worked on previous Legacy titles like the immense Pandemic series which was absolutely awesome. Whilst we've only seen some snippets of what awaits at the moment, it seems like we're going to be starting out on the East Coast of America and pushing forth into the West as the frontier expands.

This means that we could start with quite a tight gameplay experience, to begin with, that starts to expand as folks start to have a hand in charting new routes to new cities. Considering the Legacy take on the game, that means plenty of stickers to remove and add as well as things to doodle on and rip apart.
Ticket To Ride, despite its now venerable age, is still an awesome board game and a great entry point when it comes to hobby board games. With that in mind, adding the Legacy element could end up bringing people back to the tabletop to try out this game once more.

This sounds really intriguing. All flavours of Ticket to Ride are family favourites here, so will watch this with interest.
Interesting idea for a legacy edition and map progression.
