Have You Tried Offensive Miniatures’ World War II Game, DAK Attack?
May 8, 2023 by brennon
Offensive Miniatures has a pretty fun World War II wargame that I think is worth having a look at! DAK Attack has been around since 2021 but my first look at the game came during Salute 2023 when I saw the demo table for it set up and had a chat with the creator!
DAK Attack // Offensive Miniatures
DAK Attack was originally designed as a solo wargame but can also be played as a multiplayer skirmish. During gameplay, you take on the role of the Long Range Desert Group and find yourself coming up against the Axis as you battle across the sands of North Africa.
DAK Attack Gameplay // Offensive Miniatures
Rather than your time with DAK Attack being relegated to a single game, you actually play out a couple of games/scenarios over the course of a ten-day campaign. You will assemble your miniatures and then, before each mission draw from a deck of cards to see what foes you're going to be facing and the scenario that you need to complete to continue. For the most part, that means diving into 28mm wargames but on occasion you might not even play a game, instead having to work out resupplies or getting into a little mini-game as you allude your enemy.
Using a mix of d10 and d6 during gameplay, the game is quick and fun to play and really focuses on a particular style of warfare during World War II. I really like it as THE game for you to use when wanting to recreate the clash between the SAS and the Axis in the middle of the desert.
This also seems like a great time to dive in and pick up some of the World War II miniatures from Offensive specifically for this game!

Offensive miniatures do some very nice models that are full of character. I picked up some British Airborne at Salute but missed this, colour me intrigued ?
