About the Project
Inspired by the excellent 'what if' series 'For All Mankind' and using some splendid 15mm sculpts from GroundZeroGames 'Moongrunt' series. Ideal for use with Xenos Rampant rules and the first starter forces will be built with that in mind (24 points per faction).. We came in Peace... initially!

Some Simple Scenics
Resin items from Ebay. One advantage of Moon scenery is that a spray from above with black, grey, then white sort of does most of what you need for the ‘magnificent desolation’..
Moon Buggy
The small (but not smallEST) buggy is one of the neatest and most nicely sculpted metal vehicle kits I’ve seen. Really nice to put together. The whip aerial has a small UK Space Force pennant on it in the colours seen in the logo of the real world UKSF representing involvement of Navy, Army and Airforce.. also note its British so, Right Hand Drive!
First units
The British colour scheme: Went with blue for a ‘Royal Navy in Space’ theme, after all wouldn’t The Senior Service want to sail the stars for King and Country?
1 HQ (reduced model unit) Heavy Infantry unit
1 Heavy Infantry Unit with Heavy Weapon upgrade.
2x Support units (reduced model) .. May tidy up the Broad Arrow markings on the extra ammo boxes!
Test minis
Fairly simple colour scheme but with a nod to being able to ID on the tabletop. The sculpts are nicely different enough between the two factions we are starting with, British and Chinese.
Mainly contrast, drybrushing and some detailing…the visors are TurboDork ‘Radium’ and give a nice shimmer of gold
