    ### Start of shameless copy and paste ###

First time visitor to OTT? Then please introduce yourself in the New Member Thread and look around in the Project System. Then come back and read on…

    https://www.beastsofwar.com/forums/topic/introduce-yourselves-new-member-thread/

    https://www.beastsofwar.com/project/

Read all of this before you start as it will save you any trouble later.

First thing you must do is make your “pledge”. It can be anything gaming related, big or small, and you don’t even have to finish it. No, in here, happiness is the road. Have fun doing whatever it is, but it is not a race. Accompany your work with pictures or we might think you are do something sinister and just using us for cover.

You are also presented with a few questions. It is to get the conversation started. Try and keep your answers ‘conversational’, no text speak, and certainly no “basically”. This is how we all get to know each other better. While you are here feel free to tell us a story, show a picture, joke, tales of love or woe, or just add your own little bit. This is the whole point…in here it is just us.

If you have never taken part before we may bark and bite, but we also like a cuddle! It is all done in the best possible taste and it is character building. feel free to give as good as you get.

A few other things to note: NO RELIGION & NO POLITICS! Glasgow pub rules are in effect. If you need to make a better point then it is fine, but don’t take the piss. And always keep it civil.

Play plenty of music to go with your work. Loud and through proper speakers. Write us a playlist of things we might not have heard before.

Now, after all of that there is only one ‘real’ rule in here and it cannot be broken: NO DICKS! (Exceptions may be made for little fighting men with little plastic/resin/metal wieners)

And don’t forget the highlights of the weekend: The Weekender on Friday and XLBS on Sunday. And the little show that is the unofficial Hobby Hangout over at twitch.tv

    ### End of shameless copy and paste ###

    Questions:

    • Warhammer 40.000 10th editon – Will G’Wullu do a good job, flock it up and do you even care?
    • Battletech: Mecenaries Kickstarter goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRR – have you backed it?
    • Small Kickstarter is small. Germany based new mini sculptor beQuest Miniatures launches metal skellibobs. You in with that?

And now back to the show.

Pledge: same as last week ( I think). Clean the hobby space once more

    Answers:

    • They will FOMO flock it up but I really shouldn’t care.
    • Veteran Level baby!
    • Yes! Support your local indies. You can never have enough metal minis!

Doesn’t matter how bad it is… 10th edition will sell anyway. I probably don’t care enought to buy a big box, but I’ll take a look at rules, download free stuff and possibly get the cheapest starter.

In principle I like the idea of giant robots in a ‘Pacific Rim’ kind of way… but as a wargame I’m not interested. RPG might interest me.

    I got plenty of skel…

This week’s pledge is to finish another Ragin Heroes print, though I know I have a lot on this week so I’m not too fussed about forcing myself to stick to it.

    1. Warhammer 40.000 10th editon – Will G’Wullu do a good job, flock it up and do you even care? – I haven’t bought or played in a few editions. I played in the 40k weekend (was that 8th?) and then a few games after. These days I’m a painter rather than a gamer. So overall not interested. I’ll take a look if I start playing again. editions only seem to last a couple of years so blink and you miss them.
    2. Battletech: Mecenaries Kickstarter goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRR – have you backed it? – Took a look today. Again, painter not a player these days. If I feel like painting big mechs I’ll print some off and paint them.
    3. Small Kickstarter is small. Germany based new mini sculptor beQuest Miniatures launches metal skellibobs. You in with that? – I saw you discuss them on the Unofficial Hobby Hangout. I like the aesthetic but I’m not doing mass units these days.

Sunday evening… nothing got done, AMG showed stuff at Adepticon with little surprises.

I could use more weekend right now.

    > Warhammer 40.000 10th editon – Will G’Wullu do a good job, flock it up and do you even care?

Free rules and I have GW models, so… nope, still at the back of the queue. 😛

    > Battletech: Mecenaries Kickstarter goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRR – have you backed it?

A friend is heavily into Battletech, so I’m guessing he’ll buy it. But it seems that there’re a fair number of KS this tax season:
    * Battle System’s “Maladum”. Dungeon-theme miniature skirmish game, and a separate multi-story dungeon.
    * Archon’s “Deuslair” miniatures. Rule of cool, though a departure from their terrain.
    * Restoration Game’s “Unmatched”. Features the first superhero ever, Golden Bat, back in the days of selling cigarettes to kids.
    * Celophair Game’s “Gloomhaven Miniatures”. That’s gonna cost alot, although I may skip the Frosthaven ones?

    > Small Kickstarter is small. Germany based new mini sculptor beQuest Miniatures launches metal skellibobs. You in with that?

No. Skellies are everywhere, so small has to be niche. I’ve backed bears, ducks, medieval rabbits, sitting figures, dead (not undead) figures, non-human zombies, more sitting figures, dungeon accessories (pre-Mantic), Big Lebowski, female sculptors, and other small company projects not offered by larger ones (at least at the time).

But is it because tax season or is it because of conventions ramping up again? @ced1106

’tis Tuesday and I woke up wondering why my alarm clock was ringing on a Sunday.

Not a nice start into the day.

Did a bit of cleaning and sorting for SW:L as there are piles starting to build. Unsleeved cards and not sorted. Can’t have that now can we?

Hope you lot are feeling fine. I sure feel like I need a holiday of sorts.

    Wednesday.

    The day after.

I maybe shouldn’t have chosen beer. But the vote on youtube was very clear.
