Peter Pig’s 15mm War Of The Roses Bowmen Take Aim
March 7, 2023 by brennon
Peter Pig Miniatures added to their War Of The Roses range with some new 15mm miniatures. This time around, the collection grows with some Bowmen who are taking aim and picking off their foes from both England and Wales.

Two of the core sets that have been added to Peter Pig Miniatures feature their Bowmen who are shooting upwards, over your own ranks in order to threaten the enemy. You've also got a set of Bowmen Loading that can be used to mix and match your regiments on the tabletop.

You could do some fun stuff with your regiments where they all turn into tiny dioramas. Obviously, the bows are a little oversized but I think you need that when you're working at this scale otherwise they'd bend and snap off all over the place!
The last of the sets feature some Poor Bowmen who have been designed to work as either those soldiers who have been roused from the fields last minute or as the Welsh. I don't know what that says about the Welsh during the period but there you go!

The Welsh were some of the best bowmen of the period though so if you're seeking out some veterans, it might behove you to snag these rather than some regular Englishmen.
Are you going to be picking up these new Bowmen for use in your War Of The Roses games?

Well these bows look more like pool noodles but I guess that’s just because of the scale. I wonder if you could replace the bow with plastic brush bristles? Or are they too thin? Could be a short Gerry Can @avernos
already did one on it, and yeah you can replace them but you’ll also have to curve them first, and most bristles are resistant to that
