1st Corps has expanded its Home Guard range with some new 28mm miniatures from Mark Fuller! This time around, the Home Guard are pootling around the bay in their Patrol Boat, looking to scout out any Axis infiltrators!

The set comes with four metal miniatures representing the Home Guard with their rifles and also a machine gun at the ready. I wouldn't want to anger those older gentlemen, especially with a few itchy trigger fingers in the mix!

The set also comes with a resin Patrol Boat which is a nicely detailed bit of kit in its own right.

I would think most people are going to be painting up the Home Guard and their boat separately so that you can have them tumble out onto the beach in order to go hunting for spies.

You can even get yourself the Home Guard Shore Party which matches up perfectly with the seated gentlemen that you see above. I think these fellows look great!

I think more people should do Home Front/Home Guard-style armies for their games. You could have a lot of fun painting them and going in a different direction from your regular troops that headed overseas to battle in Europe. They are, of course, also great for those wanting to play out "what if?" scenarios.

Could you be tempted to snap up these new Home Guard miniatures?
