A Spanish Army Grows With The Perry’s Newest Releases
February 21, 2023 by brennon
Perry Miniatures are continuing to expand their options for their Spanish Army with a new set of releases for their Guerillas and other volunteers fighting during the period 1808-14.
Guerrilla Gun Crew // Perry Miniatures
There are a good number of new miniatures in the range from the likes of gun crews through to cavalry as well. The focus is on a set of Napoleonic Lancers in various uniforms including those fighting under Don Sanchez.
Lancers Of Carmona - Command // Perry Miniatures
As Perry Miniatures said in their preview, these are going to be great when linked in with some of the existing miniatures from the Spanish Guerillas. Interestingly, Sanchez's Lancers would have worn a variety of different uniforms or no uniforms at all with a few captured items thrown in for good measure. You've also got those Lancers of Carmona that were formed in 1808, serving under the Sevill Volunteer regiment.
Guerrilla Lancers Of Don Sanchez - Command // Perry Miniatures
All of the miniatures are available in metal and were designed by Alan Perry. This is by no means all of the options available as, in true Perry style, they have created loads of different options for making an authentic army of the period.
As you can see, they look impressive when all arrayed on a tabletop.
Guerrillas (Painted By Maurizio Amadori) // Perry Miniatures
I really like the mix of different uniforms that you get with these Guerrillas and I think they provide you with some interesting painting options. You also get to play out what is for a lot of people, one of the more forgotten corners of Napoleonic history. Could you be tempted to dive right into their Spanish Collection and snag some of these 28mm miniatures for yourself?
