Cyclades Gets New Legendary Edition Via Kickstarter Soon

The mighty Cyclades from Bruno Cathala, Ludovic Maublanc is going to be getting a Legendary Edition thanks to Open Sesame Games! The Kickstarter is lined up for later this year and will provide folks with a refined and streamlined version of the epic board game.
Cyclades: Legendary Edition // Open Sesame Games
Set on the Cyclades archipelago off the shores of Greece, you will develop your cities and raise armies as you seek to claim supremacy under the watchful gaze of the gods. This new take on Cyclades has reworked the base game and its many expansions to bring everything together into one insane package.
At the core of the game is a bidding system that explains which actions are available to each player during their turn. Each turn, players will gain the support of a different god that can give them bonuses. Six gods have been added into the mix this time compared to the original five.

Ares, Poseidon, Zeus, Athena, Apollo and Hera all offer up interesting ways for you to conquer the archipelago and you'll want to make sure your balance your finances well so that you can call on these different gods when the time is right.
Cyclades now uses a set of modular game tiles allowing you to change your set-up each time you play alongside new creatures, heroes and more. The aim of the game is still the same, control three metropolises, and that can be done through economic or intellectual development, heroic deeds or military conquest.
As a bonus, Cyclades: Legendary Edition also comes with three game modes. You can play Classic Mode which works for three-to-five players. Team Mode goes from four-to-six players and has you playing in two teams. There is also a refined two-player game mode which is a neat bonus.
Have you played the original Cyclades and will you be picking this up?

Loved playing this game when it first came out. I am looking forward to checking out the KS.
Very D&D with the multi headed Dragon.
The Hydra predates D&D by about 3000 years.
I don’t really need more board games. I have too many as it is. But…the flesh is weak!
