Happy Sunday OTTers and COGs!
I can easily imagine that before the Americans shot down the weather balloons they didn’t want to say “We are going to shoot down a foriegn spy ballon” without getting the Chinese to say ‘actually that’s ours. Sorry. It’s just a harmless weather ballon. Let’s not start a war over a ‘weather balloon’.
It’s the XLBS Show………..Happy Sunday Fellow CoGs!
Why do I think Gerry has an ex military aircraft camera for his minis and that explains the lack of focus in the pics….
An interesting show as usual. I am intrigued by the historical news though, being from the other side of The Pond, does the Warlord time frame occur in the early days of the Late Middle 1600s or is that all relative to the timeliness for the games featured in the ButButDings?
@warzan As the saying goes “Paddle faster! I hear banjos”. You might be on to something with the flavor of the Malifaux gremlins.
By the time of the 9 years war (1688-1697) the pike had just about become obsolete in European professional armies with the the introduction of the plug and then the socket bayonets
I would love to see a ott road trip vlog
I think I’ve identified the aliens https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVxj4kdrgbI and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jip1KbuWqyk
Plenty of Battlefields to go look at other than Aughrim and Boyne there is also Ballynahinchm Kinsale and the Great Laverys punch up of 1989
Ooh the Sunday show.
You should take a road trip over to Scotland. The Bannockburn visitor centre has digital down projected table on a 3d map where it is possible to play as The Bruce.
I agree with this idea as well. Battlefields cover centuries.
99 Ice careams.
Happy Blunday! Comments my contain “sleep deprivation”, “headaches” and a good dose of “wtf am I watching? Scroll back!” 00:30 Aliens! And Warren is of the hook…. 02:45 Oh that’s the driest “oh really” I’ve ever heard from anybody @brennon XD 05:00 Moon pictures! 06:00 Gerry being reasonable adult in the room…. what time to be alive! 08:20 Baaaaaallllooooooooooons in SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE! 11:00 Banjo… oh god. Good one guy’s.
ROAD TRIP?
Can we kidnap Hutch and take his table Gerry?
Surprised Justin hasn’t suggested The Bishops War for Epic Pike and Shot. Sounds like he likes a bit of bishop bashing in the studio.
Happy Sunday.
Road trips sound like a wonderful idea. I’d certainly watch that.
Afternoon all, catching up on show. Good show, Justin you are using the same method I did for my Elizabethan Sea Dogs. Road trips sound good idea, and starting in Ireland excellent idea.
1) It gets you to develop how you want to do them without incurring major travel expenses,
2) They are going to be about Battles that are not that well known this side of Irish Sea.
3) You could link it in with Pike and shot, which if it is successful you could carry over to rest of UK.
Oh whilst watching felt something was missing, a quick break and two bacon butties more tea and it was perfect.
So the guy who Justin was talking to at Historicon, you could say he had a GETTYSBURG ADDRESS! AHAHAHAHAHAsorry
Would love to see your local history locations, would also be good if you could bring up John’s vlog from the D Day celebration
Happy Sunday, my your turning into TWOFATLARDIES with your battle field tours and rules playing..lol..but sound bloody good to me.
Happy Sunday!
Road trip or battlefield tour content would be excellent. How about combining that with the monthly theme thing? First go scout out the battlefield then take a monthly theme with the said battle, building terrain and armies.
Well done on who was editing. XLBS show featuring Warren and UFOs and it’s just shy over one hour! Speaking of UFOs, the one in Alaska was reported heading towards the north pole and being size of a small car. Did they fucking shoot Santa’s sleigh?
Happy Sunday,
I do hope I am F@BHKWHD friend. We have been through so much together, we still need to have some beer and popcorn while watching the GREATEST MOVIE EVER MADE.
Yay, another Golden button. Thanks guys I do appreciate it when you display my work. I’m especially glad about this bunch cos I Looooove the Bot Wars range.
@hutch well done man. I’m working on my Judge Dredd at the moment too ?.
Thanks man, and same to you !!
Looking forward to seeing your Judge Dredd stuff all painted up.
I think the road trip vlog would be a great idea. You could even make it a themed week with spotlights on games and minuiature ranges of said same battles. Could see if any local CoGs wanted in on the carnage too!
Nice job fella’s, really enjoyed this weeks episode!!!. Road trip to the battle field all the way! I am thinking it will be more like the YouTube series “Drunk History”.
