Take Cover In Warmachine’s New Guard Tower Terrain
February 15, 2023 by brennon
Privateer Press have produced one of the first terrain pieces that is going to be coming to Warmachine MK4. From the folks behind Black Anchor Heavy Industries, this new Guard Tower is going to be a handy way to cover from incoming fire and take a few pot shots yourself.
Guard Tower // Warmachine
The Guard Tower has been designed so that five small based figures can be fitted into the ground floor section or, you can slot in three medium based figures can occupy either the top of ground floor. Rules for placing miniatures within the tower have been covered in a recent blog post.
Handily, the roof section can be removed alongside the middle section and whilst it breaks down further, when assembled in these three parts if should be easily gameable.

What's nice about the tower is that it isn't just a passive piece of terrain. It can be occupied by whatever force is close enough to it on the battlefield and you can even blow it up of you like. If your opponent has holed up inside with their troops then just blast it to smithereens.

I think it's great that the terrain can actually fit miniatures inside it as it helps keep that immersion when you're at the tabletop!
This is one of the resin pieces from Black Anchor Heavy Industries that will be gracing battlefields soon but there should be plenty more where that came from. I think the Guard Tower looks like a solid bit of kit and might do as a focal point for your future skirmishes.
Are you going to be picking one of these Guard Towers up?

“That’s a nice looking tower.
Would be a shame if something happened to it…” – Cat
A very expensive scratching post
Ah, so you too know the pain of furry little beasts on the hobby table…
I do

Nice looking terrain piece.
Ooh that would be great on any game table.
It is a quite generic terrain piece, but as the first set of Warmachine MkIV terrain that is probably precicely what we need. The club is picking up a couple of sets of these.
