Australia's LaserCast has recently added a new set of terrain to their webstore. If you're eager to dive into a bunch of 2mm wargaming then you might be tempted by their Roman Marching Camp which would be perfect for a bit of Ancient warfare.

2mm Scale Roman Marching Camp - LaserCast

This set has been designed to be quite modular and could represent either a half or full-size camp. In terms of dimensions, half of the camp measures around 150 x 75mm and the total size comes in at 150 x 150mm. It also features a ditch outside the palisade walls which has been engraved into the base so that it gives you a sense of depth.

As you'll have noted, the Marching Camp comes with a pretty insane amount of detail worked into the kit. You've got a whole host of tents for your infantry to sleep in plus details like scorpion teams, cohorts, camp guards and wagons which give your camp some life.

Material-wise, the Marching Camp has been laser cut from paper, card and formaldehyde-free plywood. I really like that they've managed to get so much detail out of the kit and in this scale, it shouldn't be that hard to paint up and get ready for the tabletop.

When it comes to games, Strength & Honour from Too Fat Lardies is a great set of rules for playing in 2mm and so this Marching Camp might end up being a solid piece of terrain to add to the collection. There are, of course, plenty of other games out there so if you have some ideas, drop them below.

Ancient Naval Wargaming

If you like the idea of wargaming in 2mm and want to hit the high seas, watch out for the Pentekonters which are also going to be joining their range soon.

A selection of other Ancient Greek naval kits are already available including Quinqueremes, Polyremes and Triremes so make sure to dive in and take a look at what they have to offer!

Could you be tempted by a bit of 2mm wargaming using some of the kits from LaserCast?
