Tales From The Green Oak! New Dungeon Saga Digital Quests
February 3, 2023 by brennon
Mantic Games dropped a surprise release for Dungeon Saga this week. A new digital expansion is available for you to snap up from their webstore with Tales From The Green Oak.
Tales From The Green Oak // Dungeon Saga
Tales From The Green Oak offers up ten new scenarios for those playing Dungeon Saga.
"The Green Oak Tavern is a grand wooden building, located directly off the town square. It is a popular meeting place for locals and travellers alike. More well-to-do visitors and wealthier merchants may choose accommodation elsewhere, usually imposing themselves on the Baron as he tries to woo them and curry favour with the elite of nearby cities in the hope of finding a solution to aid his ailing town."
There should be plenty of chances to find some work with this new set that introduces both new heroes and minions into the mix for you to have fun with. You will need to have a copy of Dungeon Saga, The Adventurers Companion and Warlord Of Galahir in order to use this, but if you've been starved of new adventures for a while, this might be worth a punt!
A new species has been added into the mix with the Half-Elf alongside a new profession in the Engineer. There is also a new set of hero creation options and an expanded bestiary of Goblins, Nightstalkers and Undead. Any new miniatures you need can be substituted by those in the sets mentioned above or you can buy the miniatures from the Dungeon Saga and Kings Of War range.
This sounds like a great way to dive into more Dungeon Saga adventures, especially if you've already completed the available quests! Maybe it's time to break out your set for another adventure!
Will you be giving this a go?

Dungeon Saga also has a free scenario, and CYOA adventure, which doesn’t require the base game:

Ooh nice.
I spent too much on Dungeon Saga and not played it much. Got it mostly for solo play during a dry spell of gaming and it’s not a great solo.
Did you play with the Adventures Companion? The Adventures Companion and the latest FAQ/Errata should resolve many of the solo issues including being to OP after a certain amount of play.
I have the AC, but not checked the latest FAQ/Errata
Nice to see them still releasing stuff for this. I recently played through the core box with a couple of mates and we really enjoyed it. I grabbed the expansions on Ebay (everything seems to be out of stock on the Mantic site) and we’ll tackle the next campaign using the expanded rules in the Companion book.
I don’t know what to think about this. I went all-in on the Kickstarter, and really liked the components, but after playing once through the base game scenarios felt somewhat disappointed as the gameplay was pretty simplistic and made the game into a bit of a basic grind. I never felt inspired to go through the expansions, and all the shenanigans with the Companion which never really delivered on its promise even after a complete do-over, it left me with a bit of a sour taste at the time. (P.s. anyone got any skinny on the alleged court case between… Read more »
Dungeon saga is such a great game to play with a casual group, good to see some extra content coming for it.
