Challenge Yourself & Build Cars With Splotter’s Horseless Carriage

Splotter Spellen is a company that by its own admission doesn't tend to create games that are for everyone. But, if you're up for a significant brain teaser of a board game then you might be tempted by their newest project, Horseless Carriage.
Horseless Carriage // Splotter Spellen
Horseless Carriage is a board game about the creation of the automobile. These strange contraptions that would eventually become cars were very odd indeed and could be the making or the breaking of aspiring engineers and inventors. You are going to be playing as those industrialists who are looking to build automobiles and match the wants and needs of a public who are fascinated by these new machines!
Horseless Carriage Gameplay // Splotter Spellen
Horseless Carriage features a number of interesting mechanics. You've got to get into the spacial puzzle of building your factory for one, working out exactly where to put all the bits and pieces that you need to manufacture these automobiles. Combine that with then having to make sure you sell these cards and beat out your opponents when it comes to marketing and you've got a game that could end up being quite cutthroat.
Horseless Carriage is sitting at a weight of four out of five currently on BoardGameGeek which is pretty darn hefty. Comparing it to one of their previous games, Food Chain Magnate, you're going to be getting the same kind of brain-burner of an experience. Still, if you're in the mood for a game that is going to tax you mentally then this might be the one for you.
I do like that Splotter unashamedly create games that aren't for everyone. They've found a niche in the market that works for them and despite the difficulty of their games, they are often very highly rated.
Could you be tempted by Horseless Carriage and the making of automobiles?

Dam. Have not heard of Splotter Spellen or anything they’ve done, but looks good. Gotta find where I can get it now
They have also done the very impressive (if utterly ruthless) Food Chain Magnate (who would have thought fast food would be ruthless?!).
If you’re into some proper weighty board games, they are worth keeping an eye on.
