I love it when a plan comes together
Step 1 - Assembly of sub-assemblies.
I love sub-assemblies. I really do. I get to build stuff and still have enough room to paint every little detail.
This kit was a breeze to work. At first the amount of sprues feels overwhelming but then you realize that most parts are just solid pieces of plastic. The spacing and fitting of all parts so far is so good and tight that glues seems almost unnecessary aside from a few bits like the doors or the antenna.
Initially I wanted to make this a Spaceballs Eagle 5 with wings but that feels to complicated right now. I might still do wings (after all I already made the templates) but I guess they will be colour matched to the A-Team van.
So here are the finished sub-assemblies.
