How do you paint anything without holding it up a few inches (centimetres for our EU friends) from the end of your nose?! I’m both impressed and envious!

Well the answer to that is rather simple dear @blinky465 and probably disappointing. I’m using one of these:

It’s a bit weird at first but I got used to it rather quickly. Also it helps when your wife is a professional Optician and has a permanent eye on your eyes. New glasses every time they are needed.

I’ve tried basing. I’m rubbish at it and don’t enjoy it.

Me too! That’s why I keep them black! Paint ’em black, yeah. This calls for music!
