Eureka Miniatures has shown off their new collection of World War II Chinese that can be used to battle it out in 28mm wargames on the tabletop. This range was sculpted by Kosta Heristanidis and has been matched to the style of the Japanese army also available from the team.

The range features Chinese soldiers wearing the traditional field caps but also the German helmets that many of their more elite units wore. According to Eureka, these miniatures can be used to represent the Nationalist, Communist and "Warlord" Chinese of the time as well as those who collaborated with the Japanese.

The collection covers pretty much all of the bases when it comes to building a Chinese army, one of the forces that often gets overlooked for World War II. You've got your Officers alongside a bunch of core infantry.

Light Machine Guns, Mortars, Artillery Crews and even Anti-Tank Suicide Troops are included in the collection. You should find pretty much all you need to get started with the Chinese on the tabletop.

I like the detail and scope that Eureka has gone into with this force right off the bat. It means that you should be able to scoop a whole bunch of these miniatures up and put together pretty decent armies that could be used for a variety of tight scenarios on the tabletop

As well as the troops that you see here and those over on their webstore, the team are also working on Chinese Guerrillas (in civilian dress) which will be coming soon. Eureka also recommends that you have a look at picking up some World War I artillery if you're looking to give those artillery crews something to fire.

Could you be tempted to pick up the Chinese for World War II?
