    Hi

Does anyone know a wargames and/or painting forum that uses the Discourse (https://www.discourse.org) system?

I’ve recently joined a forum for a different hobby that uses Discourse and I’m really enjoying it. Modern, fast and sleek, but brings back the memories from the better times when forums were the main way to talk hobbies online.

The only implementation of that that I know of is

    https://forum.level1techs.com/

which is IT tech stuff. I’ll give discourse the “fast and sleek” thing but I don’t really like the overall look of it. But when you just want a forum of any kind: all current dedicated forum software offerings are good. Because they are “stand alone” and not bolted on to something completely different.

Alternatives forum software I access regularly:

    As user:

    https://invisioncommunity.com/

    https://xenforo.com/

    As user and admin:

    https://www.simplemachines.org/

    https://www.phpbb.com/

(Clarification: I visit hobby forums that use the above mentioned software solutions. And with some of the software I work professionally and do admin stuff for it)

Oh and because you reminded me of some of my responsibilities I’ve added a new theme to our local gaming club forum.
