Dungeons & Dragons: Onslaught is a new miniatures board game coming out from WizKids in January 2023. In the game, you'll take on the role of characters from the likes of the Harpers and the Zhentarim, battling against each other and also wandering monsters that get in the way of your scraps!

As well as the core game dropping at the start of next year, there are also a few expansion sets on the way. We've already talked about those for the Many-Arrows and Red Wizards HERE but we also spied a new expansion pack called Sellswords 1 that will also be dropping in the new year.

This is going to be the first of a few new sets which offer up new prepainted miniatures to use alongside your chosen faction. The Sellswords in particular can be used to aid your Harpers, Zhentarim or one of the other factions and might fill in the gaps when it comes to a skill deficit!

The set comes with prepainted miniatures for Dralm The Tortle Fighter, Molly Farhill The Gnome Cleric, Hangaku The Human Monk and Kithra Coldforge The Dwarven Paladin. Each comes with their own set of particular skills that makes them handy in a scrap!

Whilst this is currently handy for those who want to add to one of the four factions that are coming in Onslaught, once more Sellswords packs come out WizKids have mentioned that you could run an entire fighting force of mercenaries!

The asking price to get stuck into Dungeons & Dragons: Onslaught is a bit steep ($139.99) but you do get a bunch of miniatures representing two warbands plus the monsters that they might run into. I am very interested to see how this plays and I think it would be good to give this a go at a convention next year. I do think it's a fun idea!

Are you tempted to have a look at Dungeons & Dragons: Onslaught?
