Steamforged Games has now released (or re-released) Dark Souls: The Roleplaying Game. You are now able to pick up both the standard edition of Dark Souls: The Roleplaying Game and also the Collector's Edition.

Dark Souls: The Roleplaying Game is based on the 5th Edition D&D system that a lot of folks will be familiar with but with additional elements. You get ten new character classes that come complete with new abilities, backgrounds and more. This then ties into a new magic system that matches the Dark Souls theme.
There is also a full bestiary that comes featuring Dark Souls creatures, bosses and more that stomp into your way and stop your progress throughout campaigns by making your life hell. Lothric is open to players but also comes with tips for Game Masters who are seeking to tell stories within this Dark Fantasy world.
As well as the standard book for Dark Souls: The Roleplaying Game, there is also a Collector's Edition version (see below).

This one is a bit fancy and...
"With its 500 gilt-edged pages and sumptuous, leather-effect cover emblazoned with gold-embossed text, any Unkindled seeking the jewel of their roleplaying collection need look no further than this highly collectable keepsake."
It should be noted that everything is included within this one tome so you don't need to have other D&D books in order to play Dark Souls. It should also be noted that since the issues with the first release of this roleplaying game, the hope is that all of those kinks have been ironed out and the mistakes have been rectified. It hasn't been particularly mentioned anywhere (as far as I can tell) if that is the case but you'd assume they've gone through and done all the changes.
As well as the physical book, there are also PDF versions that will be sent out to people who pick up the books. From what I'd seen gameplay-wise for Dark Souls, it was actually a lot of fun even with the mistakes. So, the hope is that this removes those barriers and just lets people die in plenty of different ways.
Are you tempted to give this a go?
