Get Your Prism Effects With Scale75’s New Paint Sets

Scale75 has been working away on a new set of paints for those that want to get a fascinating metallic sheen and "prism effect" on their miniatures. Valid for brush or airbrush, there are two new sets featuring warm and cold colours to use with your hobby. Choose between Boreal Lights and Solar Flare!

There are a variety of paints in each set that can be used to represent armour, weaponry, magical spells and effects and more on your miniatures. They change with the location of light and also, whilst still the same paint, will look different depending on the primer that you use (white or black).

You can see the way each of the colours looks over white and black above. I think it's very neat! Each of the colours has a glossy finish and the metallic pigment in them helps get that shimmering effect that you see in the examples.

As mentioned above, there are both cold and warm colours for you to choose from that could be a fun experiment. Whilst I can see a bunch of professionals using these for their busts and the like, these could be very handy for those seeking to paint up vehicles and the like for their Sci-Fi wargames.

It's always nice to have more tools in the hobby arsenal and maybe this could be very handy for some folks. I also like the idea mentioned earlier of using these for magical spell effects. I think that would be fun to see on a mage, witch or wizard.
