Dungeon Saga by rayzryr

We start off this week's Community Spotlight with a look at some awesome Dungeon Saga goodness from rayzryr. They have been working away at this for a while and it's great to see the project finally finished, showcasing a really awesome collection that could be used for all manner of fun adventures on the tabletop.

The focus of this particular project was that the Dungeon Saga set had sat there for a really long time since the Kickstarter and now it was time to bring it to life. So, they powered through the painting of this set and there is certainly something awesome about seeing a properly finished board game!

Everything has been painted from the heroes through to the foes that they will be facing down in the darkness of the dungeon. I really like the look of the heroes but the undead (above) look fantastic and I like the mix of different attire they are wearing plus the way the bone has come together. I think it makes for highly effective undead and makes them all feel a bit individual which is neat.

I really like the look of all of the major villains that we've seen shown off for this game too. Each of them really stands out and I think they will be fun to face on the tabletop. This has also reminded me just how cool the Dungeon Saga collection of miniatures is as well!

Some of my favourite pieces from the project are actually ones that I haven't shown here. All of the incidental terrain pieces have also been painted up and you can check them out on the link above. I am a sucker for lovely painted chests, books and doors.

Clash Of Spears by blipvertus

Moving on from the fantastical, we turn our attention to the Historical. blipvertus has been working away on some epic Battle Report content for Clash Of Spears which should keep Gerry rather happy for the next while. One of his favourite games and battle report content.

This all came about because a Clash Of Spears campaign came to life. One game was played each month over the course of five or six months and saw a battle for Sicily. Players could either join with Rome or Carthage but could bring any army to fight with. There were also personal goals to achieve, starting assets and more tied to new campaign rules for building armies. A link to the campaign rules can be found on the project!

This then turned into a pretty awesome project which details a number of different games being played out by blipvertus' armies on the tabletop. There are some seriously indepth battle reports to dive into with blipvertus taking on the role of a Phyrric army allied with the forces of Rome.

There is a big breakdown of the army and how it came together, the different characters involved and then each of the battles that have been played out so far. I really love these properly in-depth breakdowns of battle reports with lovely pictures, in-game antics and a bit of humour thrown in for good measure. It makes for very enjoyable reading and has you thinking about trying out games like these for yourselves!

Three games have been played so far and one of the nice things about the project is that there are also alternative perspectives given by the opponents that were faced. So, if you want to see what happened from a different point of view then you've got that to enjoy too! An amazing effort!

Home Raiders by richsh

Last but not least, we're looking at the work of richsh who has been showing off some more of their work on Home Raiders. The idea is that this project is going to be focused on painting up the miniatures and playing the game with their six-year-old.

A few of these miniatures have popped up over the course of the last year or so but I wanted to revisit it to showcase the range in more detail and hopefully give richsh a little bump to get that battle report together. Apparently games have been played but the little one caused a bit of chaos so we might have to wait for some nice pictures.

I think this is a neat reminder of just how good this miniatures range actually is and what it offered in terms of gameplay. It moved away from the classic skirmish game make up and instead embraced something a bit different. I loved the idea of playing around your standard coffee table "terrain" of cups, mugs, books and the like. It was really fun!

Most recently, work went into the Ragmen as you can see here who have turned out really nicely. I think the clear bases are also great as you'll see all of the weird terrain that you put down on the tabletop as you're playing. Hopefully this project will grow and grow and we'll get a nice love letter to this fun miniatures wargame that probably didn't get the attention it deserved!
