Dive Into More From Black Powder Red Earth With Phase Line

Black Powder Red Earth, a 28mm Modern Warfare-style miniatures game, is getting an update next week with the coming of the Phase Line expansion. Watch out for the full release on 21st November 2022.

Phase Line sees the folks at Echelon Software adding to the game with a new style of play. Phase Line is bigger than your normal games of Black Powder Red Earth and now features 500 points of forces being deployed during each operation. This also means the game space has expanded too and has you fighting over terrain features as you push forward towards the enemy.

As well as introducing a new and intense mode of play, Phase Line also introduces a few additional mechanics to build on the options for players. You now have rules covering Multistory Structures, Close Quarters Battle Weapons, Grenadiers and Heavy Machine Guns. All this ends up making the game much more dangerous!

The boxed set that is on the way gives you a pretty darn good entry point into Phase Line and Black Powder Red Earth in general. You'll get the expanded rulebook, the new close combat terrain tiles, fourty-three Operations Cards, twenty-eight Terrain Enhancement Components and twenty-four new miniatures.

Black Powder Red Earth is a fascinating game that certainly feels like it takes things up a notch when it comes to what's on offer in the Modern Warfare space. The fictional setting but the addition of a lot of actual, real-world military tech, weapons and such help to offer up interesting opportunities for gameplay.
