Parthian Cataphracts Charge Into Battle From Gripping Beast

Gripping Beast has been showing off a neat new set of plastic miniatures that are going to be popping up for Swordpoint, SAGA or whatever Historical wargame takes your fancy. See what you make of these Parthian Cataphracts.

Parthian Cataphract // Gripping Beast

These are some of the first versions of the plastic sprues that are going to be in the new set. The tweak here is that it uses the Late Roman Cataphracts but with new Parthian heads that allow you to use them with a different force. This looks to be the last of the sets coming out in 2022.

The set gives you some seriously awesome mounted and heavily armoured cavalry to use in your games. Get those big spears at the ready and thunder into the heart of battle, knocking over everyone in your way. I have always loved the look of Cataphracts since seeing them in an episode of Time Commanders.

This set is probably going to be available at the Warfare show that is happening across the weekend of 12th and 13th November. So, if you're looking to pick some up then that might be your first place to get your hands on the miniatures for Ancient armies.
