Catch Up Games has been dropping some information about an upcoming board game for 2023. After Us has you building up a tribe of apes and trying to survive in the aftermath of an Earth that nature has reclaimed.

Here is the background of After Us which has been designed by Florian Sirieix and comes with artwork by Vincent Dutrait...

"2083. Humankind died out decades ago, leaving behind mere vestiges of its time on Earth. As time went by, nature reclaimed land all over. In this resurgent world, apes have kept evolving. They've been gathering in tribes, growing, mastering human items, and advancing in their quest for knowledge. As the leader of such a tribe, you need to guide it towards collective intelligence."

After Us is a deck-building and resource management game where you will need to combo elements together to lead your tribe of apes to greatness. You start out with just tamarins but as you combine your cards and generate resources, you will gain access to gorillas, orangutans, chimpanzees and even mandrills.

There's not much more information about After Us for you to dive into just yet but I already like the look of the artwork and the card play that they have mentioned. It's always nice to have a look ahead at what's coming out next year on the board game front!
